Dr. Kwon Soon-beom, Medical Director of ARC Plastic Surgery, delivered a scientific presentation at the international plastic surgery congress PRS KOREA 2025, focusing on a zygomatic lifting technique utilizing Endotine fixation.
Drawing on his extensive clinical experience in facial contouring and lifting procedures, Dr. Kwon structured his presentation around key intraoperative considerations, including changes in zygomatic anatomy, determination of optimal lifting vectors, and fixation strategies. The lecture emphasized practical, surgery-oriented insights applicable to real clinical settings.
PRS KOREA is the largest international academic conference in Korea hosted by the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. This year’s meeting showcased the latest trends across a wide range of fields, including facial rejuvenation, contouring surgery, and regenerative medicine. TRM KOREA, a company specializing in lifting materials, participated as an official sponsor, facilitating in-depth clinical exchange through the introduction of various soft-tissue fixation devices and lifting techniques.
At this year’s congress, interest in natural-oriented aesthetic surgery and biologically based aesthetic technologies increased significantly. Dr. Kwon noted, “The paradigm is shifting away from implant-centered approaches toward more natural procedures that utilize the patient’s own tissues, which is becoming a new standard in aesthetic surgery.” This trend underscores the growing importance of biocompatible fixation materials and tissue-friendly lifting techniques in facial contouring and rejuvenation.
During his presentation, Dr. Kwon systematically outlined the advantages of zygomatic lifting using Endotine, a biocompatible fixation device that enables stable elevation of the skin and soft tissue, effectively enhancing facial contours and cheekbone definition. He shared case-based insights covering minimally invasive incisions, precise fixation point placement, and strategies for correcting asymmetry, drawing considerable attention from attending specialists.
“Approaches to zygomatic lifting and facelifting must vary depending on each patient’s facial shape, tissue thickness, and aging pattern,” Dr. Kwon explained. “A combination of accurate anatomical analysis and biologically based fixation technology is key to achieving more natural and long-lasting outcomes.” He added, “We will continue to share advanced contouring and lifting techniques on international academic platforms while further strengthening patient-specific solutions.”
